In the south of Worms, the 28-hectare city park, affectionately known as the "little forest" by the people of Worms, was built between 1900 and 1905. The "Wäldchen" has a large playground, many green areas and a restaurant with a shady beer garden. The popular Wormser Tiergarten also belongs to the "Wäldchen". To the south, the Bürgerweide recreation area with the Wormser Tiergarten and the southern Rheinauen (Rhine meadows) are adjacent. The well-developed paths of Bürgerweide are popular with joggers, cyclists and walkers alike
