The town's prosperity has always been linked to wine. Even today, Oppenheim vineyards such as Sackträger, Krötenbrunnen and Herrenberg have a good reputation among wine connoisseurs from all over the world. A visit to the German Wine Museum offers visitors not only information about viticulture in Rheinhessen, but also interesting facts about the wine-growing regions in Germany, wine production and wine enjoyment. Permanent and temporary exhibitions introduce visitors to the diverse world of German wine.

You can visit the museum Fridays to Sundays and on public holidays! Opening hours: Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. | Sunday and on public holidays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Group tours are also possible outside opening hours on request (duration approx. 1.5 hours). Please contact the museum for this.
