Already in 1888, the deepest sparkling wine cellar in the world was established under the main building of the traditional Kupferberg sparkling wine cellar. Spread over seven floors, there are more than 60 cellar rooms located up to 50 meters underground – an impressive testament to centuries-old craftsmanship and sparkling wine tradition.
Today, the Kupferberg Terrace is a special place where history and enjoyment come together. Visitors can explore the historic vaulted cellars of the former sparkling wine cellar as part of guided tours and learn more about the rich history of the Kupferberg estate. In addition, the Mainz brewery Eulchen offers brewery tours on the premises, where guests can take a look behind the scenes of the artisanal brewing process. The culinary experience at the Kupferberg Terrace is enhanced by the brewery's bar and the Eulchen Bier tavern. Here, visitors can enjoy freshly brewed beers as well as regional dishes – all with a magnificent view over the rooftops of Mainz.
Thus, the Kupferberg Terrace is a unique place in Mainz where the tradition of sparkling wine culture and the young, vibrant brewery scene come together in a special way.
