The love nest

Built by Daniel Graf from Monzernheim in 1934. It is a brick building with a concrete flat roof and a quarry stone foundation.

Inside, a small bench was placed all around. The eastern wall clearly proves that it was and still is a favorite shelter for lovers.

Height: 182
District: "In the middle valley" called "Hasenloch"

History / Stories / Anecdotes:

The current owner is the winery Keller / Flörsheim-Dalsheim (since 2014). Previously, it belonged to the winery Mayer from Ober Flörsheim.

The vineyard was re-established by the winery Meyer in 1985 and it is only the fact that the winemaker did not know where to go with the rubble and foundation, thanks to the fact that it is still preserved today.

On the day of the big hail (28.07.1985) the vines were spared in this vineyard. The winemaker Mayer had provided them with a plastic guard to protect against hare feeding and so bounced off the hail.
