Roman information point in Stadecken-Elsheim

The Roman information point in Stadecken-Elsheim is much more than a place of historical information - it is a window into the past that brings the stories of our homeland to life. Here, where a Roman villa rustica once stood, you can feel the connection to the people who lived, worked and left their traces here centuries ago.
With a great deal of passion and commitment, a place has been created that is more than just a collection of historical facts. It invites you not only to see history, but to feel and experience it. An impressive short film takes us on a journey through time, from the Romans through the Middle Ages to the present day, and allows us to recognise how deep the roots of our homeland go. Here it becomes clear that history is not just a look back, but a bridge to the present - a part of who we are.
The small rest area with pergola invites hikers on the Hiwweltour ‘Stadecker Warte’ and cyclists on the ‘Selztal-Radweg’ to take a short break and learn about the Roman roots of a village founded in the 13th century and enjoy the far-reaching views of the Selztal and the vineyards.
