The clock tower in Oppenheim was built in 1843/44 on the remains of a former defensive tower of the medieval town fortifications in the neo-Gothic style. The tower is around 31 meters high and houses a viewing platform, among other things. The tower clock from 1907, which is still in working order, chimes the half and full hours. The building is maintained by the Friends of the Clock Tower in Oppenheim am Rhein and is a listed building.
