Virtual exhibition on the town fortifications of Ober-Ingelheim and Großwinternheim
The virtual exhibition Ortsbefestigung 3.0, Innovative Bauforschung in Ingelheim will be available on the website www.ortsbefestigung3punkt0.de from 30.09.2020! In the form of a 360° tour of the castle church, you will be informed on the one hand about two- and three-dimensional building survey methods, and on the other hand about new discoveries at the local fortifications in Ober-Ingelheim and Großwinternheim. In addition to texts, photos, plans and photogrammetries, the exhibition furniture also presents video sequences of drone flights, three-dimensional models and reconstructions.
From 30 April 2021, the Kaiserpfalz Research Centre of the City of Ingelheim and the Technical University of Darmstadt will provide unusual perspectives with a new digital offer.Spectacular insights in 3D: research team gets to the bottom of the secrets of the Malakoff Tower. Visitors to the virtual exhibition www.ortsbefestigung3punkt0.de können can also explore the Malakoff Tower in the Rose Garden near the castle church. And the special thing about it: with virtual reality (VR) glasses, you can even "enter" the tower and look around and move around inside. Those who own VR glasses can download a file for this purpose; for all other visitors, the tour is available directly in the exhibition.
