The Wildpark Gonsenheim was founded in the 1950s by the Huntersschaft Gonsenheim. Originally it housed wild boar and deer. In the 1970s, the plant numerous other cages and aviaries were added to accommodate smaller predators, such as wild cats, and various species of birds. Moufflons, goats, ducks and guinea pigs also live in the park today. Admission is free, visitors can buy feed pellets from vending machines and feed the animals through the bars. The park is designed so that you can make a round and it is passed by all the different animals. Especially the goats and deer enjoy the attention of small and large visitors and can be readily fed and caressed out of hand.
