Really good ice cream should be enjoyed even outside the opening hours of ice cream parlors and supermarkets! With this vision, the aunt-niece duo founded Frohnibär GmbH last year and has since been supplying the Rhine-Main area with ice cream vending machines that offer delicious ice cream around the clock.
The machine located at the Johannes Gutenberg University (JGU) in Mainz at Jakob Welder-Weg 8 is stocked with the tasty ice cream from the Mainz manufacturer N’Eis and offers 2 cup sizes with delicious ice cream flavors. A practical spoon is hidden in the lid of the smaller cup (130ml) for direct consumption.
The flavors are regularly changed and adjusted seasonally: In spring, for example, fresh rhubarb varieties tempt, in summer there is refreshing spaghetti or buttermilk ice cream, and during the Christmas season, ice cream fans can look forward to varieties with cinnamon, gingerbread, and more. Vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free varieties are always available. So there’s something for every taste!
At the vending machine, ice cream lovers can use the touch display to add their favorite flavors to the cart, pay cashless with card, smartphone, or smartwatch, and then the lift delivers the cups to the dispensing flap.
