Alzeyer Land & Rheinhessen Switzerland

Around the collective municipalities Alzeyer Land and Wöllstein, the hills of the landscape conservation area Rheinhessische Schweiz rise. The recreational area is characterized by forests, meadows, streams, and gentle hills, offering a little Alpine flair far from Switzerland itself. The foothills of the North Palatinate mountain region are still heavily influenced by agriculture today. Some of the local communities bear witness to this, adorned with historic half-timbered houses and magnificent manor houses.
