Our wine hotel is the product of thoughts, dreams, ideas and emotions. It is an attitude, a commitment to everything that pleases, is beautiful, promotes well-being and inspires the senses. It is a passionate representation of a vision to satisfy and make happy every single guest... ...it's Rhine-Hessian way of life that comes from the heart. We like to receive guests. We want you to feel completely at home with us, feel the familiar atmosphere, find an open ear for small and big wishes and all this in charmingly furnished rooms - you can stand it. And you should find it a little difficult to say goodbye to us! ...for travellers in shops, for couples on holiday (discover Rheinhessen), for families in happiness (baby cots free of charge or rather delivery cots) ...flat screens, free WLAN for good connections and showers for the Rain Dance in the shower. And good, a guest kitchen and our bed-edge wine is also available. Everything for a good night and an even better morning.
Our Harxheim, as a charming wine village at the gates of Mainz, offers you an enjoyable gastronomy - from the cozy wine tavern to the rustic estate. In our charming village you will find a picturesque landscape that invites you to hike and linger. In summer, we will gladly guide you past our vineyards to the Schlossberg tower. There you can enjoy a small drink with us and the wide view of Rheinhessen (from 10 people, by arrangement). Harxheim is also an ideal starting point to get to know the picturesque villages and countryside of Rheinhessen. The hiking and biking trail of the "Rheinterassen" leads you past Oppenheim's Gothic St. Catherine's Church and the idyllic banks of the Rhine. For those who like it more dignified, the old tracks of the "Amiche" railroad offer a pleasant way to and from Harxheim. Many wine villages and wineries invite you to linger. You can rent bicycles and e-bikes and have them brought to you easily and comfortably. We will gladly provide you with bike tickets. If you want to learn more about the culture and history of Rheinhessen, we will be happy to advise you. As a first starting point, a city tour through the golden Mainz is a good idea. Did you know that the (arch)bishop of Mainz was the second most important person after the emperor at the time of the Holy Roman Empire? The thousand-year-old cathedral, in the style of Old St. Peter in Rome, still impressively underpins the self-image of that time. If you leave Mainz and follow the Rhine upstream, you can experience exciting stories in the incomparable "Oppenheim Cellar Labyrinth" in the underground tours of Oppenheim. Also recommended there is a visit to the graceful old town, which has preserved its medieval style over the centuries. Other cultural highlights of the region can be found in Alzey, Bad Kreuznach, Bingen or Worms. As an insider tip, we would also like to recommend the extraordinary guided tours of "Geography for Everyone", which always have surprises in store even for us old-timers. For a day trip, a boat trip on the Rhine is also a good idea. For example, we recommend a day trip to the Middle Rhine, where you can experience the beauty of the "romantic Rhine" with its many castles along the river. If you are looking for relaxation after an intensive day, the Taubertsbergbad in Mainz, the Bäderhaus in Bad Kreuznach or the Rheinwelle in Gau-Algesheim are oases for wellness and health. Or you can simply enjoy the evening with a chilled glass of our wine in the pleasant quiet atmosphere of our hotel garden.
