On Ludwig Göbel's graphic traces through the Imperial Palace
Urban sketching workshop

The parents' house of the Ingelheim painter and graphic artist Ludwig Göbel (1889-1964) was near the Imperial Palace in Nieder-Ingelheim. Therefore, in addition to numerous portrait and commissioned works, there are also many local motifs in his artistic legacy.
Whether professional or amateur: everyone who wants to follow in Göbel's footsteps through drawing is welcome to the outdoor urban sketching workshop. The focus of the urban sketching method is not only on idyllic sceneries and lovely motifs. Above all, the contrasting juxtaposition of modern life in the historic Imperial Palace backdrop invites you to pull out your drawing pencil or watercolor brush. The artist and museum employee Nadine Hanssen gives valuable tips on technology. What you should bring with you: sketchbook or drawing paper, pens, fineliners, watercolor paint, weather-appropriate clothing, and possibly a stool.
