Bunte Burg – Kultur in der Landskron: "Drag Kingdom Vol. 4"

After the overwhelming success of the first “Queens” drag show in the Landskron castle ruins in 2022 and the resulting repeat in 2023, Eich, together with the town of Oppenheim, is delighted to be able to continue this spectacular event once again. “It was already a huge success in the first year, and we were able to go one better in 2023,” says the initiator of the event. The six “Queens” were joined by a Drag King in the second year, which is why the event will now be known as the “Drag Kingdom”. The approximately 250 guests in July 2023 were able to admire a colorful and inspiring program within the time-honored walls of the Landskron castle ruins in Oppenheim. The program is currently still being fine-tuned. What exactly will be conjured up on stage remains a secret for the time being, but this much can be revealed: The evening will once again be hosted by Miss Anna Stood and Enrique Doleschy, Mister Gay Germany and Mister Gay Europe 2018.

“Drag is now much more than just colourful wigs and high heels, it has become an art form that is absolutely worth seeing,” says organizer Carsten Eich from the CPE Events agency in Ingelheim. “It was important to me from the outset that we also address people at the event who may never have come into contact with drag before. We are also doing a bit of educational work,” Eich continues about the glittering and fascinating spectacle.
