This version of Vivaldi's Four Seasons is guaranteed to be remembered: Vivaldiana - a piano concerto that has it all. The music presented here by arranger Dariusz Zboch is like a journey through time. Rachmaninoff, a tango by Carlos Gardel, jazz, rock and classical music, all united in the melodies of Vivaldi. Performed by the Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra Katowice under the direction of Christoph Soldan. Leonard Bernstein said of him after a joint tour: ‘I am impressed by the spiritual greatness of this young musician.’ Soldan, who studied with Eliza Hansen and Christoph Eschenbach at the Hamburg Academy of Music, has since performed worldwide with numerous renowned orchestras and as a soloist in some of the most important concert halls, such as the Gewandhaus Leipzig and the Berlin Philharmonie. His recordings of all of Mozart's piano concertos on CD as well as radio and television productions at home and abroad document his artistic activity.
