Christina Lux feat. Oliver George

Her songs are as melancholy as they are charming and charismatic, without pomp and glamor, and yet each of her works shines. The lyrics, poetic with a tongue-in-cheek depth. The special moments and reflections that can change your life from one second to the next can be felt in her music, which combines songwriting, soul and folk. She has found a wonderful counterpart in Oliver George. On guitar, vocals and drums, and as co-producer and writer, she has found a musician who enriches her songs rhythmically and with original sounds. Two people who have found each other again and who bring a great live concert experience to the stage, ranging from minimalist songs with just voices and guitars to large arrangements. It all began in Kassel almost 40 years ago in a rock band. Christina Lux & Oliver George met again ten years ago and have since released three albums together. The album Leise Bilder from 2018 (awarded the German Record Critics' Prize), the current album Lichtblicke 2021 and the live album 2023. Short biography
In 1984 she started out as a singer in a rock band, then traveled through the world of jazz, ended up in the multicultural a cappella band Vocaleros and began writing her own songs in 1996. Christina Lux released her first EP in 1998. After nominations for the album Playground in 2012 and the album Embrace in 2015, the album Leise Bilder was awarded the German Record Critics' Award in 2018. The tenth and latest album Lichtblicke was released in 2021. 2023 the double live album Live deLUXe with Oliver George.
