Jacques Stotzem

Jacques Stotzem is one of the most versatile fingerstyle guitarists on the current guitar scene. Born in Verviers in 1959, the Belgian guitarist has now recorded 18 CDs and is one of the absolute favorites for many fans of acoustic guitar music. As a welcome guest at all major festivals, Jacques Stotzem has gained a considerable number of fans with his perfectly performed fingerstyle guitar playing, his sensitive sense of melody and his fine temperament. His concert tours take him through Europe, North America and Asia. The legendary guitar manufacturer “ Martin ” has honored him with a signature model and since the beginning of 2023 he is an official AER endorser. His CD “ Catch the Spirit ” with highly remarkable arrangements of rock classics made it into the Belgian charts in 2009 and remained classified for 43 weeks ; an event in the acoustic guitar scene ! Over the years, Stotzem has developed his own unmistakable sound on the acoustic guitar and is convincing both in the atmospheric ballads typical of him and in thoroughly rocking adaptations of Hendrix or Gallagher songs. His current album “Histoires sans mots” is inspired by the joy of finally being on tour again after what feels like an endless period of crisis and sharing his music with the audience in the concert halls! For Jacques Stotzem, this remains the main goal of his life as a musician.
