»Stamped and decorated« - We design historically inspired gift packaging made of fabric
Workshop
The new creative laboratory in the museum invites you to an artistic journey through time every first Sunday of the month from October to March. Whether little explorers or curious individuals - in workshops, all guests can create original objects themselves and at the same time learn exciting things about the rich history of Ingelheim.
The stamping of textiles can be traced back to the 3rd century BC in India, and similar methods for decoration were also used in China and Egypt. In the Middle Ages, this craft technique finally spread to Europe and experienced further development through mechanical printing processes during industrialization. Museum employee Raniia Khaziakhmetova leads the production of sustainable and reusable gift packaging made of fabric in the creative laboratory, which is individually designed with stamps and seals.
