NO STRINGS ATTACHED, the Kultursommer Rheinland-Pfalz festival for theater with figures and objects, Nouveau Cirque and other forms of theater, will be back in xs in 2024!

The special edition from 26 to 28 October will present three productions from Belgium on three evenings at the Kammerspiele in Mainz: razor-sharp nouveau cirque, magical theater with objects and an erotic miniature with puppets from home cinema.

At the festival opening on October 26, the motto is: Knives out! The two artists from the Midnight company move around in their little universe amidst floating espresso pots, flying knives, bursting balloons and a red button that must never be pressed carelessly. Joris and Simone are gifted manipulators of everyday objects. Their joint show US (we/us) is a mixture of razor-sharp nouveau cirque and slapstick - a breathtaking delight.

On October 26 and 27, the Tof Théâtre will be reminiscing about a day in summer: a wicker basket and a checkered tablecloth, meadows and bushes. In search of a shady spot, a couple eludes the gaze for a hot picnic. SUMMER OF 69, an erotic miniature with puppets without words, lasts 25 minutes and can be combined with a visit to the main performances.

An oval desk under a canopy. Fabrics, stones and spheres between gravity and weightlessness. Threads flow out of a vessel like water, chains develop a life of their own. Compagnie Modo Grosso combines object manipulation and circus acrobatics with a touch of magic. On October 27 and 28, TOUT|RIEN (everything/nothing) sends the audience into unexplored areas of perception between object theater and new circus. Physics becomes poetry. Hypnotic, astounding, magical! Monday, October 28 is MAGIC MONDAY with a ticket for two people for €33.00!
