The singer Elsa Johanna Mohr and the guitarist Flávio Nunes dedicate themselves to the colorful diversity of Brazilian music with well-known Brazilian classics such as “Carinhoso” or “Tempo de Amor” as well as with their own compositions and thus create a broad overview of a culturally rich and beautiful country. The two musicians share a common musical language with which they express the Brazilian love of life and the well-known longing of Brazilians. In January 2023, they released their first joint album “Passadinha” in the 96th episode of “Jazz thing Next Generation” on the Double Moon/Bertus label. The clear diction and unforced style of Mohr's vocals make “Passadinha” a little gem - the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung has already attested that she sings “as if she grew up on Sugarloaf Mountain” - to which Nunes contributes a great deal with his seven-string guitar. He masters the most complex rhythms with breathtaking ease and adds depth and an extra dimension to the laid-back vocals.
