River cruise on the MS Vater Rhein with two jazz bands on board

ALL THAT JAZZ is expected to feature Toni Krebs (cornet), Manfred Pfeiffer (clarinet, flute), Thomas Wagner (trombone, vocals), Charlie Zerfass (sousaphone), Eric Webster (banjo), and Wolfgang Herbst (drums). These experienced jazz musicians, with their extensive stage experience, have come together to indulge in their love for jazz. The ensemble knows how to bridge the epochs of old jazz like hardly any other band, sometimes appearing as a marching band right in the audience, which enthusiastically honors these original performances, and at other times with the quieter, soulful tones of swing ballads, whose romantic flair is soon replaced by the fast, hot rhythms of Dixieland or Creole jazz.

MAINOUCHE features Yvi Szoncso (violin, vocals), Sebastian Rudolfo Christ (guitar), Gerd Rentschler (guitar), and Aike Heck (bass, vocals). They play standards from the 1920s and 1930s, creations by Django Reinhardt, as well as related styles and songs in the guise of Gypsy jazz. Four professional musicians present themselves as the "quartet with 20 strings," consisting of two guitars, double bass, and violin, as well as two vocal parts. Passion and joy in playing, along with a good portion of humor, are part of their program.
