Street of Encounters
From hand axes to the shortage of skilled workers – how crafts have always permeated our everyday lives
Intercultural city tour

The weapons of hunters and gatherers, the construction of medieval pit houses, the knotting of imaginative carpets or the textile design of our clothing: throughout history we repeatedly encounter the masterful work of outstanding craftsmen. During the intercultural city tour, we find out which craft techniques are now almost extinct and which we definitely don't want to do without despite advancing technologies. Contemporary witnesses report on how traditional cultural techniques are used and give us authentic insights into their own (professional) lives.
