Going out to eat in Rheinhessen

Throughout the region, a creative gastronomy scene has emerged, joyfully cooking and experimenting. It has as many facets as the vineyards of the wine-growing region. The easiest way to experience it is in the 'Straußwirtschaften' (seasonal wine taverns) and 'Gutsschänken' (estate taverns), where you can enjoy wine directly from the winemaker. They also offer delicious small dishes. Fine dining is also prepared in Rheinhessen, infused with local flair. Our regional products play a crucial role in this. Like the winemakers, fruit and vegetable growers also have a long tradition here. For many chefs, buying directly from these producers has long been a matter of course.

Spring cuisine in Rheinhessen

Especially in spring, everyone looks forward to the days getting longer again and nature waking up from its winter slumber - greenery and blooms emerge, creatures crawl, creep, and buzz in the vineyards, gardens, and balconies. The sun irresistibly draws us outdoors. In the courtyards of wineries and on the terraces of restaurants, you can hear laughter again. And on the plates and in the glasses, there's much new to discover and taste.
