For typical varietal wines from Rheinhessen, there now is an new emblem, showing the origin. This sign carries the message "Origin with profile" (German: Herkunft mit Profil") and stands for wines that are characterized by a typical regional wine style.

With this eye-catcher on the bottles, the wine range aims to be profiled a little more distinctively. This emblem of origin shows typical Rheinhessen varietal wines in the dry taste profile. These wines are everyday wines, that can be bought in the winery, just as well as with retailers.

"Origin with profile" distinguishes wines from the white grape varieties Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Silvaner and Pinot Gris and from the red varieties Dornfelder, Pinot Noir and Portugieser.

"Origin with profile" is linked to a taste specification of dry or classic. As part of the official audit, the wines are tasted for their typicality. All wines that meet the requirements of the jury have the opportunity to be decorated with the mark of origin. Wines labelled with this emblem will be found in trade, just as well as in the wineries.
