Rheinhessen, as a growth center in the midst of the Rhine-Main, Rhine-Neckar, Rhine-Nahe and Saar-Lor-Lux economic regions, is taking on a "bridge function".
But where are the forces and potentials in the present - and what opportunities and possibilities will the future bring?
The "Declaration on the Future of the Rheinhessen Region" provides a forward-looking orientation. It was signed in May 2005 by county councilors, cities and municipalities, together with representatives from politics, business and science.
