For many years, the state capital Mainz and the region Rheinhessen belong to the illustrious circle of the Great Wine Capitals, a network of important winegrowing towns and their internationally known wine regions. The unprecedented quality upswing of recent years shows: The Rheinhessen wines cultivate this sophisticated image quite rightly.

But Rheinhessen also means cultural diversity.

In many places one meets the stone witnesses of great history. The dome in Mainz and Worms shape the cityscape as well as the Katharinenkirche the silhouette of Oppenheim.
