Welcome to the winegrowing family Lemb-Becker, Mainz-Hechtsheim In the old center of Hechtsheim the winery Heinz Lemb can be found. Our company looks back on a long tradition of winemaking and agriculture. With the marriage of Sigrid Lemb and winemaker Jürgen Becker from Udenheim, not only our family grew, but the red wines married into our assortment. The conscientious management of our vineyards is close to our hearts. During the careful handling of the wines from the cellar to bottling, we put our particular...

In the Leber winery you will find an extensive portfolio of exotic and international wines, which are developed in different flavors. Stefan Leber is responsible for the well-being of the vineyards and the development of the wines. With his motto "Joy of life...

The winery Christophorus-Hof has been in the hands of women with a lot of power and tradition - since 1654. Riesling and Silvaner are the most important grape varieties in the vineyard. Simone Schmitt-Rieth rules the cellar - and the whole business in general. The viticulture technician can sing a song about which special challenges Silvaner places to the cellar people. The beautiful wine shop invites you to taste. On the estate English and German are spoken.

In addition to the classic grape varieties such as Riesling, Sylvaner or Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, we also cultivate newer varieties such as Kanzler and Scheurebe, which are complemented by the red varieties Pinot Noir, Schwarzriesling, Dornfelder and Regent. The balancing act between progress and tradition is achieved not only by a lot of manual work, but also by the use of the most modern technology, which not only facilitates the work, but also benefits the quality of the wine. Our single vineyard "Heiliger...

After completing his studies in viticulture in Geisenheim and stays abroad in New Zealand and South Africa, Daniel Schmitt took over his parents' winery in 2009. The vineyards are located in the very best locations of the communities Mettenheim and Bechtheim. Following the motto "it's not just about discussing the wine - what counts, is manual labor, diligence and intuition to make the right decisions," Daniel Schmitt tries to get better every year. Recommended in: Gault Millau, Eichel- mann, Wein-Plus.
The Gres winery looks back on a good 300 years of winemaking tradition. The family came in the wake of the Huguenot banishment in 1684 from the Rhône Valley, where they had already done viticulture, to Rheinhessen. There, they planted 70,000 vines on 15 hectares in and around the municipality of Appenheim. The vineyards are located in five municipalities, so that for each grape variety an ideal location is available. The vines thrive particularly well on humus-rich limestone soils. In addition to national (Riesling,...
