Where the wine of the Nieder-Ingelheim winegrowers' co-operative used to be pressed, matured and stored is now a place of wine enjoyment. Almost 30 Ingelheim winegrowers and a distillery present their top wines and fine spirits here. Whether red or white, dry or off-dry - lovers of fine wines will find the perfect opportunity to get to know Ingelheim wines in the modern ambience of the vinotheque.
The best wines from almost 30 Ingelheim winegrowers and a distillery are displayed in modern wire racks that form a harmonious contrast to the old sandstone walls. Tasting is expressly encouraged, with the 3- or 6-glass wine tasting or sparkling wine tasting on offer. It also offers a variety of events where visitors can taste fine wines and gain a deeper insight into the art of winemaking. In addition to excellent wines, there are also wine-related products in the regional shop on site.

The vinotheque in the Winzerkeller is a "Rheinhessen EXCELLENT vinotheque". In September 2021, the Vinothek im Winzerkeller was named one of the 30 most beautiful vinotheques in Germany by the German Wine Institute. Wines and estates are spectacular. The castle ensemble (16th/17th century) towers stately over Ingelheim. In 1900, the von Opel family acquired the estate. Today, the VDP winery is run by Count and Countess Schönburg-Glauchau in the fourth generation. It benefits from an outstanding stock of vines in the Schloss Westerhaus monopollage and other sites in the Selz Valley.
Wine tastings are available by appointment for up to 50 people.
The winery is located directly on the premium hiking trail "Hiwweltour Westerberg".
Paddocks and stables reveal that Schloss Westerhaus is not only a winery, but also a stud farm that breeds racehorses. When the large wooden gate of the castle is open, the vinotheque is open and you can taste a glass of wine made from the vines that grow along the Hiwweltour Westerberg.
