The Wildpark Gonsenheim was founded in the 1950s by the Huntersschaft Gonsenheim. Originally it housed wild boar and deer. In the 1970s, the plant numerous other cages and aviaries were added to accommodate smaller predators, such as wild cats, and various species of birds. Moufflons, goats, ducks and guinea pigs also live in the park today. Admission is free, visitors can buy feed pellets from vending machines and feed the animals through the bars. The Herrensheim bathing lake is hidden on the track on the edge of the Worms suburb of Herrnsheim. A large parking lot is located directly on the 6-hectare site.
