Tour tip of the month

Cross the Rhine Cycle Tour

Experience the Rhine from all its sides and connect Rheinhessen with the Rheingau. The two wine regions couldn't be more different and thus offer a truly unique cycling experience. Enjoy the great wine and Rhine panoramas, significant cultural monuments like the Burgkirche and Kaiserpfalz in Ingelheim, and a unique river experience on the cross-Rhine round between Bingen and Ingelheim. At 43 km, our tour tip for June is an ideal day trip.

Hemmes Winery

Our July wine tasting venue is the Vinothek and Wine School at Hemmes Winery in Bingen-Kempten. Wine school? You read that correctly. You can learn what it's all about from winemaker Frank Hemmes during a unique wine tasting in the former village school. As the schoolmaster, he doesn't give grades but instead makes fascinating connections to wine in subjects like biology, geology, and local history. This wine tasting is learning with enjoyment and pleasure; there are no exams and no grades!
