The wine in sheep´s skin. The winery is managed in fifth generation by Gerhard Wolf. Tradition and passing on knowledge are now combined in a modern winery. The winery has switched to organic farming since 2020.
If you want to forget everyday life and end the day in a cosy atmosphere, Thiel's Weinstube is the place to be. The Thiel family gets to the heart of the matter when it comes to atmosphere, whether in winter by the open fire or in summer under shady trees and vines in the barrel garden. In the individually furnished wine tavern, they serve guests fresh tarte flambée, Rhine-Hessian specialities and vegan dishes as well as wines from controlled, environmentally friendly viticulture. At the Mees Winery you can taste the diversity of grape varieties on the Nahe: Whether the classics like Riesling, Pinot Blanc or Pinot Gris or nowadays exotics like Kanzlerrebe and Muskta-Ottonel. Everyone will find what they are looking for here. With son Lukas, the next generation is waiting in the wings to support the 15-hectare farm together with parents Roland and Dagmar.

Winery, restaurant and land hotel- an ambience to experience wine in all of its facets: traditional handicraft and modern wines in the middle of the region. It grew- it was not made!
