Our winery is located in the middle of the historic village center of Dalsheim. The strength of our winery lies in the great diversity of grape varieties. We plant our vines on limestone soils rich in minerals and warm loess-loam soils in the districts of Dalsheim, Gundersheim and Westhofen. From the different soil conditions we draw potentials for the great variety of vines and the richness of nuances of our wines. Our wines have won many awards, including a state honorary award.
We cultivate our vineyards in harmony with nature and pay attention to environmentally friendly plant protection. Keeping our grapes healthy and treating the vineyard soils with care is always important to us and reflects the high quality of the grapes in our wines. The white wines are matured in stainless steel vats to produce fruity, acid-reduced, sparkling wines. Under the management of Heiko and Goscha Schäfer, the winery produces a wide range of wines that are known for their mild, aromatic and noble characteristics. The range includes both red and white wines, Rotling and Rosé, which are characterised by their high quality and excellent value for money. Special attention is paid to PIWI wines, which are made from fungus-resistant grape varieties. These wines are characterised by sustainability and robustness and are becoming increasingly important in viticulture.
