Besichtigung Besuchergradierwerk Karlshalle

Bad Kreuznach
from 04.08.2024 to 06.10.2024 - from 14:00 to 17:00 o'clock

Opportunities to walk through the crown of the Karlshalle visitor graduation tower.
Between 2 and 5 p.m., a competent contact person will be available to provide information about salt extraction and its effects on the air we breathe.

Health fountain, industrial monument and spectacular river landscape - the Salinental between the spa towns of Bad Kreuznach and Bad Münster am Stein combines qualities that make it unique. The Karlshalle graduation tower opposite the old houses of the salt workers has been extended to allow visitors to enjoy a fascinating view.
The graduation towers, which were used to increase the salt concentration of the brine, played a central role in both salt production and the spa. At 1.1 kilometres in length, they form the largest open-air inhalatorium in Europe and create a fresh sea breeze in their surroundings. At over eight metres high, the graduation towers with their blackthorn walls are still impressive monuments to the history of salt extraction.

A visit to the Karlshalle graduation house is free of charge.
