Freunde Ingelheimer Filmkultur - Roter Himmel

Everything is supposed to be easy in the country. The helpless and perplexed author Leon wants to find inspiration for his next book in the solitude, his long-time friend Felix, who is accompanying him, just wants to relax and enjoy the summer. When the two move into their holiday home, they experience their first surprise: a young woman lives there who is also studying literature, but is currently selling ice cream on the beach. Nadja has the lightness that is needed for a nice summer comedy in the cinema; but soon erotic tensions arise, in various, hardly predictable directions. A publisher and another man, a good-looking lifeguard, add salt to the soup. The five people in Christian Petzold's film have enough to do with themselves and with each other. Unfortunately, there are also the forest fires blazing all around, and this "red sky" gives the events their tragic twist. This development turns the light film into a great film.
