This is how the Hockenheim daily newspaper described the Simon and Garfunkel Revival Band. The Simon and Garfunkel Revival Band is not an attempt to copy the legendary US folk-rock duo, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. Rather, the revival band succeeds in interpreting the music of their role models so authentically that, with your eyes closed, you could be forgiven for thinking the two originals were on stage in the flesh. As far as their appearance is concerned, however, Michael Frank and Guido Reuter show their very own facets and say of themselves: "We don't want to put on fake beards and ridiculous costumes. We're all about the Simon and Garfunkel sound." And the two musicians from Erfurt, together with their band colleagues, bring this sound to the stage and into the ears of the audience with feeling and flair. They certainly don't leave out the party factor in the faster numbers and are determined to get the audience grooving once more.
