Our family winery in Spiesheim is located in the heart of Rheinhessen.

The different soils in our region are the base for the character of our wines. A difference that you can taste.

With us, classic processing methods in the vineyard are supported by the latest ecological and technical processes. This guarantees an even gentler handling of our soil, the greatest good we have. The many hours of work in the vineyard and in the cellar contribute to the goal of producing excellent wines that are fun to drink.

On the estate only German is spoken.

Gabsheimer Rosengarten

Geographical center of Rheinhessen

Where is the center of Rheinhessen? Somewhere in Alzey! Almost. Since 2007 we know it exactly: The geographical center is in Gabsheim in a corridor, which has the old beautiful name "An des Adams Apfelbaum". Tables, benches and information boards invite you to take a break and enjoy the view. The single vineyard Gabsheimer Rosengarten is - unusually - not a contiguous area, but rather fragmentary. The name Rosengarten could refer to a natural growth. However, the name often points to early medieval burial sites. Gabsheim probably had a castle since the end of the 12th century. Today, the single vineyard Gabsheimer Rosengarten is home to a variety of grapes on loess soil.

Biebelnheimer Rosenberg

The location was mentioned in a document in 1591 with the name "am Rosenberg". The rose gardens can indicate natural vegetation. However, they often point to early medieval burial sites.

Ensheimer Kachelberg

Of ships, vineyard towers and vine diversity

Middle High German always has surprises in store: Kachel is derived from "kocke" and means a broad ship with a rounded front. The roundish shape of the hill evokes associations with this comparison. The location was first mentioned in a document in 1442 with the name "in kachelberge". In the middle of the hill: the newly built Ensheim vineyard tower - like a mast on a ship! From there you have a magnificent view of southern Rheinhessen, as far as Odenwald and Pfälzerwald. The winegrowers cultivate a variety of vines on limestone and marl.
