Winery Adamshof

The winery Adamshof is located in Nack, idyllic on the edge of the Rheinhessen Switzerland. The founder Adam Maaß gave the winery his name. Our vineyards are located in Bechtholsheim, Biebelnheim, Framersheim, Alzey and Nack. Variety of varieties, maturity, bouquet and, above all, wholesomeness are important preconditions for the production of our wines.

Biebelnheimer Pilgerstein

Biebelnheimer Pilgerstein (Pilgrim's Stone of Biebelnheim)

Biebelnheim, pilgrim’s stone, divinely good red wine

The single vineyard "Biebelnheimer Pilgerstein" embraces the village from three sides. The name sounds as Christian as it is meant to be: in the Middle Ages, Biebelnheim was home to a pilgrims' hospital, and the Way of St. James still winds its way through the vineyards and up to the neighbouring Petersberg, on top of which there was a medieval crypt. The site was first mentioned in a document in 1555 and the word "stone" indicates a resting place for pilgrims. Pinot vines in particular thrive in the limestone-rich soil, giving the wines their unique minerality. In addition, the local winegrowers devoted themselves to red wine - a rarity in Rheinhessen.

Alzeyer Rotenfels

Alzeyer Rotenfels

Red, white, yellow and and vineyard cottage.

There are two possible interpretations for the name’s origin: one option is that the term is based on a deforestation (German: “Rodung”). Obviously, an old area was cleared here, trees were felled and their roots removed. However, the name could also be derived from the colour red (German: “rot”), because the core area in the site consists of red topsoil, oxidised volcanic rock. There even is a song in Alzey, referring to the old site name Rotental (now part of the entire single vineyard): The song describes the single vineyard “Rotental”, where viney grow and claims that no real person coming from Alzey can live without wine. In addition to volcanic rock, there are also yellow-coloured loess soils and white limestone rocks. The single vineyard "Alzeyer Rotenfels" is south-facing and warm. The numerous vineyard cottages invite you to take a walk and rest. All grape varieties are grown here.
