Winery Klostermühlenhof
In the 12th century already, Cistercian monks of the monastery Eberbach built the yard on the Selz. In the 17th century wine was exported from Rheinhessen to the UK from the monastery branch Wahlheimer Hof. August Ebling, an ancestor of the family, bought the Klostermühle in 1899, where until the end of the Second World War the grain of the region was ground to flour. In addition to the miller's-craft there was also done viticulture in the mill right from the start. In the continuation of this tradition and with the know-how of the present time, 15 hectares of vines are cultivated on the Klostermühlenhof. The boss is beverage technologist Horst Ruzycki. His son Jan (beverage technologist) is responsible for winemaking, his brother Thilo (viticulture engineer) is the quality manager in the company and takes care of the marketing.
