Winery Fred Emrich

We are a small family winery, which produces red and white wines with great attention to detail.
The oldest manuscript document comes from the diary of Philipp Wendel Emrich from 1692. At that time, the winery was a normal mixed farm with wine production.
Today, over 320 years later, only wine is produced on an area of about 12 ha. In addition to the classic varieties, such as Riesling, Silvaner and Pinot, our very special love are the special grape varieties such as Gewürztraminer, Frühburgunder and - quite extraordinary - the Rosenmuskateller.
With our son Christian the next generation is on the starting blocks already.

On the estate German and English is spoken.

Everyone has had flat pebbles bounce across the surface of the water. There is no lake in the single vineyard Biebelsheimer Kieselberg in Rheinhessen, but the Nahe growing region begins just a stone's throw away. Biebelsheim is located in the very west of Rheinhessen. The name of the site refers to the predominantly gravelly soil, which consists of loess and, especially in the higher sites, terraced gravel.
