Winery Laubenstein

For almost 200 years and with the 5th & 6th generation now the Laubenstein family has been managing their winery. In the Gensingen vineyards, right in the heart of the "Rheinhessische Toscana", fine Rieslings, voluminous Pinot Gris, ripe Pinot Noir, crunchy Sauvignon Blancs and characteristic Cabernet Sauvignons flourish. "The quality and identity of a wine comes from the vineyard and is then in a gentle, sensitive processing in the cellar ennobled ", the credo of the winery. With traditional experience of father Hans-Wilhelm and modern know-how of daughter Sandra wines are created, which are signed with memorable handwriting, shaped by nature and as individual as their producers. Every year, the goal is to improve the quality of the wines - and with visible success. In 2014 they will be able to receive one of the coveted state awards for the third time in a row.

On the estate only German is spoken.

Treasure? Value? Appreciation for Riesling and Chardonnay

The naming of a field with this name rarely refers to the precious metal gold, but is rather an expression of general appreciation. This is also the case here, in Gensingen. Sand, clay and heavy lime marl characterise this site. There is a calm and warm microclimate, due to the wind shadow at the foot of the Kieselberg. Perfect for Chardonnay and Riesling.
